The Graduate Employability for Monash Science (GEMS) Project by a group of dedicated and compassionate Monash Science staff.

The GEMS Project invites you to participate in an intensive day-long workshop to bridge the skills gaps from graduate and employer perspectives.

Why will you participate?

The workshops have been especially tailored for science undergraduate students to develop the skills (e.g., commercial awareness, leadership, team-working, communication, career management, etc.) as identified by the GEMS research.

The research suggests that development of these skills will make you more likely to get a job and be successful in your job place. Additionally, in the workshop:
• Your employability skills will be assessed and you will receive feedback on how you can improve them.
• You will get networking opportunities with employers, alumni and students across different schools in the Faculty of Science.
• You will receive a certificate of appreciation for your participation. This will be an important addition in your CV.
• Refreshments will be provided.

When will the workshop take place?
The workshop will be delivered twice during O-week in Semester 2, 2016 (18 July, Monday and 19 July, Tuesday). It will be available to all science students, so come along with a friend or two.
