Let’s Torque is a science communication organisation run by undergraduates from across Victoria! New roles are now available for 2021, requiring skills ranging from social media managing, event planning, finances and more! New members will work with current members to design workshops, host professional events and run our annual SCIENCE COMMUNICATION COMPETITION!

Monash Careers Summit & Career Expo

The Monash Careers Summit is designed to allow students to explore ways of working, developing employability and career planning, and features workshops, seminars and speaker panels bringing students and industry together in an interactive, virtual environment. Featuring sessions tailored to the specific needs of both domestic and international students, the focus of the Summit will be on careers, career development, graduate employability and graduate recruitment.

 

The cornerstone of the Summit will be the Monash Careers Expo on August 5 and 6.

Now in its tenth year, this key Monash event attracts a prestigious selection of local and international exhibitors from a range of industries and sectors, and is a trusted and valuable opportunity for students to explore their career options and potential. And in 2020, it will run as a completely virtual event, providing students with even greater flexibility and ease of access to prospective employers.

Career Connect Masterclasses

Introduced last year and highly valued by students, Career Connects Masterclass series is an intensive week of workshops that will deliver valuable employability and job seeking skills in an online form. From July 13 to 17, students will have the opportunity to acquire valuable information on areas such as Effective Career Planning and Entrepreneurial Skills for Students, as well as innovative new workshops on building a personal brand, navigating the recruitment market, and much more. Career Connect Ambassador Program: Apply Now!

Do you want to help your fellow students access essential job and employability services, while refining and enhancing your own skills to secure your dream role?

Career Connect’s Student Ambassador Program is an exciting new initiative offering students the chance to optimise their career development, professionalism and enhance their employability. By representing Career Connect in its activities and events across the University, participants will secure valuable training and networking opportunities highly regarded by employers and recruiters, as well as gain career knowledge, confidence and experience.

To apply, students must;

  • be currently enrolled in a Monash University course;
  • have completed at least one semester of study
  • be available for the duration of the program;
  • not be graduating before the conclusion of the program in October 2020; and
  • commit to volunteering 25 hours over the course of the year.
